Kevin Deering

Day Service Manager

Kevin began his career in hospitality before moving into social care, bringing with him a strong foundation in people management, communication and problem-solving. He has since progressed through frontline, supervisory and service leadership roles across disability and community services.

Kevin joined Beam Services as a Programme Supervisor in 2022 and was appointed Day Service Manager in 2023. He now leads Beam’s multi-site day services and contributes to the organisation’s strategic direction as a member of the Senior Management Team.

His role encompasses operational leadership, safeguarding, quality and risk management, service development and supporting managers and teams to grow. Kevin is particularly passionate about improving systems, developing responsive services and creating meaningful opportunities for Members—ensuring that their needs, choices and ambitions remain central to how Beam’s services evolve.

Helen Hogan

HR Manager

Helen joined Beam Services as the Human Resource Manager in 2021. She has over 20 years’ experience at senior management level in both mental health and disability sectors.

Helen contributes to people management at both strategic and operational levels in the organisation. She has strong experience working with staff and unions to ensure strong effective working relationships.

Helen is experienced in developing policies and procedures, implementing quality improvement and has a strong background in Health & Safety. She places a strong emphasis on achieving high standards and applies those standards to the HR function.

She works in a complex and changing environment dealing with challenging and difficult situations in a constructive fashion to meet the changing needs of the organisation.

David McEvoy

Operations, Maintenance and Transport Manager

David is an experienced Operations, Maintenance & Transport Manager with a strong commitment to supporting high-quality services for people with disabilities. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of transport services, property maintenance, fleet operations, and facilities management.

Prior to joining Beam Services in 2024, David worked as a self-employed carpenter and as a Building Maintenance Technician, developing extensive expertise in maintenance, project coordination, and operational management.

David plays a key role in supporting the organisation's operational objectives, ensuring that services, facilities, and resources are managed effectively to meet the needs of the people Beam Services support.

Cormac Noone

Person in Charge, Residential

Cormac is a member of Beam's Senior Management Team and Person in Charge (PIC) of Residential Services. After successfully running his own fresh produce and catering supply business for 25 years, he began his social care career with WALK in Dublin in 2010, where he progressed to the role of Residential Staff Team Leader while completing an Honours Degree in Social Care at NUIG.

Joining Beam in 2018, Cormac has played a key role in the growth and development of residential services, ensuring person-centred support, regulatory compliance, and strong multidisciplinary partnerships. He was instrumental in establishing Beam's Human Rights and Restrictive Practices Forum in 2019. A trained Designated Safeguarding Officer, he also delivers staff training in Positive Behaviour Support (Studio III) and Fire Safety.

Ali Jones

Quality, Standards & Engagement Co-Ordinator

Ali joined Beam Services in March 2024 as the Quality, Standards & Engagement Coordinator.

With over 15 years of experience in the disability sector across both the UK and Australia, Ali has developed extensive expertise in supporting adults and children with disabilities.

Since joining Beam Services, Ali has become an integral part of the organisation, providing support across multiple areas. Her responsibilities include delivering training in Person-Centred Planning, Studio III, and Risk Assessment processes. Ali plays a key role in auditing across Day and Residential Services, leads the New Directions EASI Tool process, and is an active member of the Senior Management Team. In addition, Ali leads the Beam Advocacy Forum, helping to ensure that members' voices are heard and valued.

Ali is deeply committed to person-centred practice and is passionate about empowering individuals to have choice, control, and meaningful involvement in decisions that affect their lives.

Sharon Darcy

Finance Manager

Sharon Darcy joined the BEAM team in 2024 as Finance Manager, bringing with her more than 25 years of valuable private-sector experience.

Throughout her career, Sharon has excelled as both a skilled accountant and a supportive office manager. This unique blend of expertise means that Sharon doesn’t just manage numbers—she takes care of the systems and the people behind them. Sharon has a genuine passion for developing smart internal control processes & finding ways to make daily workflows easier and more secure for everyone involved.

When she is not keeping our financial health on track, Sharon's focus is always on fostering a reliable, organized, and welcoming environment for the entire team.
