The Turas Programme

Turas is a community-based day programme that focuses on promoting independence, personal choice, and meaningful participation in everyday life. The programme is designed for individuals who have a moderate level of independence and who benefit from ongoing support, encouragement, and opportunities to further develop their skills and confidence.

Individuals are supported to identify and pursue their personal goals, interests, and aspirations through person-centred planning. We provide opportunities to access employment, volunteering, education, training, and recreational activities that promote personal growth, social inclusion, and community engagement.

Making full use of local community resources, including shops, leisure facilities, educational settings, workplaces, and social amenities, individuals are supported to develop practical life skills, build relationships, and increase their confidence in navigating their communities. Through active participation in local groups, events, and activities, people are encouraged to become valued, contributing, and active members of society.

Our team provides the right balance of support and independence, empowering individuals to make informed choices, develop self-confidence, and achieve greater autonomy in their daily lives. This programme is based in the centre of Bagenalstown.
